TubPint sizes
| Machine | TubPint | Our recipes fill |
|---|---|---|
| CREAMi 7-in-1, Breeze, Swirl | 473 ml16 oz (473 ml) | about 400–460 ml |
| CREAMi Deluxe | 709 ml24 oz (709 ml) | about 600–690 ml |
TubsPints only fit their own machine family, so a Deluxe tubpint will not fit a 7-in-1. Not sure which you have? The model number is on the bottom of the machine, and our model comparison lists them all.
Why the line matters
- The base expands as it freezes. Water grows by about 9% when it turns to ice, so a tubpint filled to the brim ends up with a dome on top.
- The paddle needs room. It lowers into the tubpint while it spins. An overfilled tubpint can jam, spill into the outer bowl and strain the motor and paddle.
- Even spinning. A level surface just under the line gives the smoothest result.
If your tubpint is too full
Before freezing: pour the extra into a glass or a second tubpint.
After freezing: scrape a layer off the top with a sturdy spoon until the surface is below the line and level. Letting the tubpint stand for 5 minutes makes this easier.
Milkshakes and mix-ins
For milkshakes and frozen drinks, you pour liquid in after freezing, so those bases are smaller on purpose (about 300–340 ml in a 473 ml16 oz tubpint). Mix-ins go into a hole you dig in the finished tubpint; keep them to 30–60 g so the tubpint doesn't overflow.
Scaling recipes
Every Scoop Kitchen recipe is written for a 473 ml16 oz tubpint and scaled by 1.5 for the 709 ml24 oz Deluxe, so it stays under the line either way. Choose your machine once and the site shows the right amounts.
