  4. Pour the base into an empty tubpint, up to the max fill line. Put the lid on and freeze on a level shelf for 24 hours.
  5. Take the lid off, set the tubpint in the outer bowl and lock it into the machine. Run Lite Ice Cream.
  6. Expect it to look powdery after the first spin. That is normal for protein ice cream.

  8. Still powdery? Add another splash of milk and Re-spin once more.

Tips

  • Any chocolate shake works. Thicker shakes with more protein per bottle spin creamiest.
  • No pudding mix? Whisk ¼ tsp xanthan gum into the sugar instead.
  • Try vanilla, coffee or strawberry shakes the same way, and leave out the cocoa.

Why it works

Ready-to-drink shakes are mostly water and protein, so they freeze hard and icy. Pudding mix, cocoa and a little cream cheese add starch and fat that keep the crystals small.
